Amer Group required a hyperscaler partner to migrate their SAP operation applications off another cloud provider and onto AWS. Phoenix migrated Solution Manager, Help-desk, ADS and Windows Terminal servers using AWS MGN, AWS S3 CLI and standard SAP tools.
They also needed a professional AWS host for the on-premises SAP content server, and a stable VPN solution. Phoenix built the customer landscape on AWS, migrated the DMS / content server, and stood up a FortiGate server to secure the VPC — ensuring stable, secure VPN connections between AWS and on-premises sites.

The approach.
Provision an AWS customer VPC focused on cost optimization, stable connectivity and network security.
Migrate the SAP cloud-native environment from the customer's previous cloud to AWS using AWS MGN and S3 CLI.
Launch and configure a FortiGate firewall to secure the environment and connect the AWS VPC to on-premises sites via EC2 and AWS Marketplace.
Host an SAP Router server as a backup solution for the VPN connections.
Provision an Amazon S3 bucket for backups using the least-privilege principle for mount permissions.
Migrate DMS server from on-premises to AWS.
Manage EBS life-cycle policies and CloudWatch alarms for specific workload thresholds.
