Cookie policy

1. What we mean by 'cookies'

For this policy, “cookies” covers cookies proper, localStorage and sessionStorage entries — any browser-side storage the site (or a script running on it) sets on your device.

2. What we set today

The site is largely cookie-free by default. The only client-side storage we currently write is:

• phoenix-consent (localStorage) — records your privacy-preferences choice (essential-only or accept-all) so we don't ask again on every visit. No personal data.

3. What we may set with your consent

If you choose “Accept all” on the consent banner (or if we later enable optional analytics), the following may be set:

• Cloudflare Web Analytics — where enabled, we use the cookieless option. No cookies are set for analytics.
• Google Analytics 4 — if we enable GA4, cookies _ga and _ga_* (session ID and page-view counters) will be set with a 24-month expiry. Data is pseudonymised.

4. What third parties may set

Where you interact with an embedded third-party service (Cloudflare Turnstile challenge on the contact form, YouTube video embeds on the news room), that service may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We do not control those cookies.

5. How to control cookies

You can:

• Use the consent banner shown on your first visit — pick 'Essential only' to keep optional analytics off.
• Clear the phoenix-consent entry from your browser's site storage to see the banner again.
• Use your browser's cookie controls to block or delete cookies from this site at any time.
• Install a Do-Not-Track browser extension — we respect the DNT signal wherever technically possible.

6. Changes

If we add cookies or storage beyond what's listed above, we will update this policy and prompt you to re-review your consent choice.
